چکیده

Conceptually, radii are amongst the simplest Poincar\'e-invariant properties that can be associated with hadrons and light nuclei. Accurate values of these quantities necessary so one may judge character putative solutions to strong interaction problem within Standard Model. However, limiting their ability serve in this role, recent measurements new analyses older data have revealed uncertainties imprecisions proton, pion, kaon, deuteron. In context radius measurement using electron + hadron elastic scattering, past decade has shown reliable extraction requires complete elimination bias practitioner-dependent choices fitting functions. Different answers challenge been offered; perspective describes statistical Schlessinger point method (SPM), unifying applications deuteron radii. Grounded analytic function theory, independent assumptions about underlying dynamics, free from practitioner-induced bias, applicable same form diverse systems observables, SPM returns an objective expression information contained any under consideration. Its robust nature versatility make it suitable for use many branches experiment theory.

Electron-and Neutrino-nucleus Scattering

I review the main features of the nuclear response extracted from electron scattering data. The emerging picture clearly shows that the shell model does not provide a fully quantitative description of nuclear dynamics. On the other hand, many body approaches in which correlation effetcs are explicitely taken into account lead to a satisfactory account of electron scattering observables. The pos...

Local Quark-hadron Duality in Electron Scattering

We present some recent developments in the study of quark-hadron duality in structure functions in the resonance region. To understand the workings of local duality we introduce the concept of truncated moments, which are used to describe the Q dependence of specific resonance regions within a QCD framework.

Quark-Hadron Duality in Electron Scattering

Quark-hadron duality addresses some of the most fundamental issues in strong interaction physics, in particular the nature of the transition from the perturbative to non-perturbative regions of QCD. I summarize recent developments in quark-hadron duality in lepton–hadron scattering, and outline how duality can be studied at future high-luminosity facilities such as Jefferson Lab at 12 GeV or an...

Quark-Hadron Duality in Electron-Pion Scattering

We explore the relationship between exclusive and inclusive electromagnetic scattering from the pion, focusing on the transition region at intermediate Q2. Combining Drell-Yan data on the leading twist quark distribution in the pion with a model for the resonance region at large x, we calculate QCD moments of the pion structure function over a range of Q2, and quantify the role of higher twist ...

Quasi-elastic electron-nucleus scattering

This article presents a review of the field of inclusive quasi-elastic electron-nucleus scattering. It discusses the approach used to measure the data and includes a compilation of data available in numerical form. The theoretical approaches used to interpret the data are presented. A number of results obtained from the comparison between experiment and calculation are then reviewed. The analog...
